SHOEI sponsored Enduro-rider Johnny Aubert firmly stamped his authority on day one of the fourth round of the Enduro World Championship in Enduro 2 in Portugal. Making a fast start to the morning, the KTM rider quickly opened up a ten-second lead at the end of lap two. Fastest on the Cross Test, Aubert maintained his advantage to secure his first victory of 2012.
“Everything went excellent today,” confirmed Aubert. “I felt very comfortable with my bike and was able to lead the race early on. It’s nice to finally get my first victory of the season.”
While unable to record another victory in Enduro 2 on Sunday, where he managed to secure second place, Aubert ended his GP of Portugal with a solid podium result on second place.
In the E2 overall standings he now ranks with 98 points on the fourth place.
Next round of the Enduro World championship will be on 30th June in Italy.
